From your screenshots it seems you are running windows, I am not sure how this works. You don't need to install git in the same folder but it needs to be installed properly: this means the git binary needs to be in your path so you can type "git" in "cmd.exe" and actually work. You don't need to start it or anything it just needs to be present.
NPM is complaining it can't find Git installed. Unfortunately I have no clue how to fix this on windows.. But this is not a gekko specific problem at all!
