Hi all

possibly a newbie question but I can't see how to do it (or if it's simply not needed)..I updated the currencies in Gekko (latest) with the script for my exchange, they got updated (Binance by the way) but I can't find a way to select BTC as currency and USDT as asset.

I basically want to accumulate USDT using BTC.

How to do that? I have BTC already on the exchange, so I'd like first trade to be a sell and for Gekko to maximise and calculate my profit/loss considering the USDT amount...

How do I get the MACD strategy to create a buy or sell order at the exact time of the crossover?

I'm looking at a 12/26/9 MACD with 30min candles on TradingView.com. It seems pretty clear to me when to buy and when to sell and make good profits, but of course I don't want to do that 24/7.

Trying to replicate that in Gekko, I'm thinking if I set the thresholds to 0 or a very small number like 0.00025 it should then react immediately on the crossover (with persistence = 0). But the backtest result doesn't seem to match up with the cross overs I see on TradingView. Buy and sell signals are all over the place.

Is there a way to see the MACD lines that Gekko is using to generate the signals, in the web UI? That would help a lot to understand and tweak.

Thanks!

Is it possible with the backtesting to add more graphs (e.g., indicator output) to the result window? Currently I only see the closing price plotted there, but it would be very helpful to superimpose other information on that graph.

Thanks!

So i have gekko installed but I need some direction on where to head next. I understand the config and strategy js but what I am looking at doing it a small test. I have about $10 USDC on coinbase. I want to detect a buy then sell at a 1.3 % profit. I have a config i found on candle stick patterns so i might could use that for the buy sell points but what i need is where to see code related to placing a buy and a sell and how to limit that to only one buy and then one sell then onto the next buy/sell. I know $10 is low to trade with but it is enough for some trades on coinbase pro (gdax). I have been using smart trades over on 3commas but I do not have time to watch things manually. I have some eBay auctions running and those proceeds will go towards further testing. I appreciate and feedback the community can give me.
